The Building & Planning Department helps property owners, residents, businesses, and developers navigate the planning and building process while protecting the unique character of Brian Head.
Our goal is to ensure that residential, commercial, and recreational development is thoughtfully planned, safely constructed, and compatible with the surrounding community. As a mountain community, Brian Head strives to maintain its distinctive Rustic Mountain Village character while supporting responsible growth and development.
Planning & Building Review
The Planning & Building Department reviews proposed projects to ensure they meet the Town's adopted standards and requirements. This includes reviewing projects for consistency with:
Brian Head Town Code
Town General Plan
Zoning requirements
General Design Standards
Applicable health and safety requirements
International Residential Code (IRC)
International Building Code (IBC)
Through this review process, the Town works with property owners and applicants to help ensure that new construction, remodels, and other improvements are safe, appropriate for their surroundings, and contribute positively to the community.
